A PurposE Driven life

Values

Consider the following when examining your personal values:

  1. What are the beliefs you live by?
  2. What brings you a sense of accomplishment?
  3. What brings you joy?
  4. What motivates you?
  5. What makes you sad?

A Life Well-Lived

What is a life well-lived?

  • The answer  to this question would likely be different for each of us.  The same is true for our personal values.  Whether or not you feel your life is well-lived, will likely depend on how closely you  have adhered to your values.

Let's Get Started!

Consider the questions above. Write the answers to:

  1. What are the beliefs you live by?
  2. What brings you a sense of accomplishment?
  3. What brings you joy?
  4. What motivates you?
  5. What makes you sad?

Remember, the exercise above is to help understand your PERSONAL values -- not the values of a close friend, family member, partner, or other person in your life.

Life Goals

Consider the questions below. Write the answers to:

  1. Where do you see yourself in five years? If five years is too long, choose a time frame that is more comfortable for you, perhaps a year.
  2. What are you doing day-to-day?
  3. Who are you spending time with?
  4. Where are you?  What places do you frequent?

Next:

What do you need to make your goals a reality.  Often, larger goals need to be broken down into smaller objectives, strategies and steps.

Remember, the exercise above is to help understand your PERSONAL GOALS -- not the GOALS of a close friend, family member, partner, or other person in your life.

SMART Goals

Using the SMART Goals helps us to stay on track with our goals. SMART is an acronym that stands for:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Relevant
  • Time-based
